These photographs were made on black-and-white film using a Nikon F2, a fully mechanical professional camera introduced in the early 1970s.
Without autofocus, automation, or instant image review, the F2 encourages a deliberate approach to photography. Combined with black-and-white film, it shifts the emphasis from color to light, shadow, texture, and composition.
